Health Guarantee Contract:

The puppy has received a minimum of their 1st vaccinations and multiple de-wormings. This does not guarantee the puppy could not have intestinal or external parasites. The puppy is to the best of my knowledge being sold as a healthy puppy free of any life threatening birth defects. The purchaser has three days from the day of possession to have the puppy checked by a licensed veterinarian of their choosing or the 1 year health guarantee will be forfeited. This puppy is guaranteed to be free of any life threatening birth defects prior to their first birthday. If the puppy is found to have any life threatening birth defects before their first birthday, the puppy will need a second opinion by a veterinarian of the breeders choosing. Documents from both veterinarians must be viewed by the breeder and the breeder’s veterinarian. The breeder has the option to (if the issue is fixable) pay for the medical expenses not exceeding the cash price of the puppy, exchange the puppy for a healthy puppy of the same sex within 1 year of purchase date or refund the purchaser for the cash price of the puppy. Minor defects that are of little consequence to the puppy’s health are not covered (buyer will be responsible for any delivery or delivery cost of the puppy in the event of exchange or refund). We cannot guarantee this animal could not fall victim to common health issues at some point in it’s life, therefore the breeder will not be held responsible for health issues later in this animals life. In the event the puppy is sold, transferred, or given to another individual the health guarantee will be forfeited. The breeder does not assume any liability for injury or medical cost after purchaser has taken possession of the puppy. The breeder is not responsible for any emotional distress that may occur due to any illness, injury or issue with the puppy. Purchaser guarantees to provide proper nutrition and care for this animal. Improper nutrition and care will render contract void. If the purchaser is unable to provide proper care, the purchaser may contact the breeder and arrange for the breeder to take possession of the animal or help find an appropriate home, with no questions asked. Refunds are not permitted once the puppy has left the possession of the breeder. If the puppy is not picked up by the agreed upon date, the breeder may charge a boarding fee. Contact the breeder if there is an issue with your pickup date. When meeting, the delivery person will not wait more than 20 minutes past the designated meeting time without clear communication from the purchaser. It is not guaranteed the delivery person will be able to wait for longer than 20 minutes past your designated meeting time. In the event of any error or issues involving this purchase, the purchaser will give the breeder a reasonable opportunity to correct the issue. The breeder will, within reason, correct the error or issue. Both breeder and purchaser agree that in no event, and at no time during the term or at any time thereafter, shall either of them disparage, denigrate, slander, libel or otherwise defame the other or the other's businesses, services, properties or assets, or employees, personnel, agents, or representatives. We recommend the puppy be spayed / neutered at the appropriate age. We ask that you register your puppy’s microchip, and add a second contact person in the event that the owner is unable to be contacted.

Frequently asked questions

Is my deposit refundable?

Deposits are nonrefundable. If the puppy were to get a poor report from the vet you may choose to change your deposit to another puppy of the same criteria. If there are no expected puppies that meet the criteria of the original puppy, your deposit will be refunded.

Can I see the puppies before putting a deposit on one?

We offer in person visits, video calls, or video/pictures prior to deposits. We allow in person visits for available puppies after 3 weeks of age. We do our best to prevent the spread of sickness or diseases. Meetings will occur outdoors and everyone will be required to sanitize their hands prior to touching any puppies. We do not allow visitors inside our home, but the parents of the puppies may be brought out if you'd like to see them. If the weather is to cold or stormy you may reschedule your visit. We will do our best to make your visit successful even with colder weather by having heated blankets for the puppies to stay warm. We ask that you do not visit other dogs, pet shops, or places with other pets prior to visiting.

Why are your prices different on some website?

When going directly through us you will get the lowest price. Many websites require a fee or % of the sale price. Fees are added into the price listed on the puppy to cover these fees. We require those that go directly through us to pay deposits and/or transport via check (received at least 2 weeks prior to the pick up date), or Venmo/Cash App (friends & family). We require all final payments to be made in cash. If you are not comfortable paying as friends & family we can send you a link to pay the deposit and any necessary transport fees through the Gooddog website, fees will apply. Puppies may be priced differently based on bloodline, sex, color ect... All sales tax and other fees are included in the listing price. There will be no added fees, unless you require transportation or an extended boarding fee.

Do you offer a payment plan?

We do offer the ability to make monthly payments on a future puppy. A payment plan will look different for each individual based on the monthly payment, puppy preference, litter availability, and puppy availability. The puppy will have to be paid in full before the puppy can leave.

Do you have a wait list?

We accept a $300.00 deposit to hold your place in line for a puppy of your criteria, this deposit will count towards the price of the puppy. If there is not a puppy that meets the criteria you ask for your deposit can go to the next litter. If you refuse a puppy that meets the criteria you asked for your wait list deposit will be forfeited. If we do not have a puppy that meets your criteria within 6 months, you can be refunded if you'd like. We will contact you when we have a puppy available. If we do not get a response from you within 1 week your wait list deposit will be forfeited.

How do I get my puppy delivered to me?

We are flexible with meeting your delivery needs. We offer ground transport and flight nanny services. Ground transport is available to most destinations in the US for $0.60 a mile round trip. Overnight fees may apply for longer distances.

We offer flight nanny services within the US. We will personally fly your puppy in cabin as a carry on to meet you at your airport. Flight nanny prices vary based on location, time, airport ect... Most flight nanny prices begin at $500.00.

We will meet at GSP airport free of charge. We will meet at CLT airport for $100.00.

Local delivery up to 30 miles free of charge.

Can I personally buy the plane ticket for transport to fly the puppy to me?

The transport person will purchase the tickets for their flight. We do not allow others to purchase the plane tickets for transport, due to the risk of inaccurate information, delays or other issues at the airport. You are welcome to fly to us and fly the puppy back with you as a carry on. We will meet you at GSP airport free of charge. We can aslo meet you at CLT airport for $100.00

How do I fly my puppy back with me?

You must have an airline friendly carrier to transport the puppy in. We can bring an airline approved carrier with your puppy for $30.00 if you do not wish to bring a carrier with you. It is best to double check with your airline to see if there are any additional requirements for the puppy to fly. After booking your return flight you need to contact your airline to have them add the pet carry on. At the airport you will need to go to the ticket counter to obtain your tickets and pay the pet fee. If booking round trip, you will likely be required to go to the ticket counter for both arriving and departing flights to obtain your tickets for each flight regardless of not having a pet for the arriving flight. When going through TSA you must remove the puppy from it’s carrier. The carrier will go through the belt screening, while you and the puppy go through the walk through screening together.

When can I pick my puppy up?

Typically all puppies are ready to go at 8 weeks old. Occasionally there may be one that is slower to wean. It is possible that your puppy may need to stay a little longer. We will keep you updated on their progress and if there is any reason we believe they will not be ready to go at 8 weeks old. For this reason puppies being delivered via flight nanny may have their flight scheduled a little after 8 weeks of age to ensure we do not have to reschedule their flight.

Can I pick my puppy up at a later date?

We understand that the puppy’s go home date may not be the most suitable day for you to pickup. If you are not able to pick up your puppy close to their go home date, we can hold them for a little longer at no charge. We ask that you have a time frame in mind. After an allotted amount of time we may choose to charge a boarding fee. If there is a continued failure to pick up the puppy, the puppy sale would be terminated. If boarding fees apply, the fees must be paid weekly via Venmo/Cashapp (friends & family) or Gooddog (fees will apply) or the puppy sale will be terminated.

Can I change my puppy’s name?

Yes, we often give nicknames to each puppy. You are not expected to keep the given nickname. If you already have a name picked out we can add it to their info and began referring to your puppy by that name.

What does forever family policy mean?

In the event something happens to the owner such as death, divorce, poverty, poor health, or just unable to provide proper care. Our forever family policy means at any point in the pets life, the pet will have a home with us if needed. It is never acceptable for a pet that came from us to be surrendered to a shelter or an unknown situation. We will take one of our puppies back in with no questions asked or reasoning required. The most important thing is that our puppies are given proper care, and love for the entirety of their life.

Do you health test your puppies?

The parents of our puppies have a received health test to ensure they are healthy before producing puppies. Depending on the recommended test for the breed, health test include Cardiac, CAER eye, Patella & DNA. Puppies will be checked by a veterinarian to ensure they are healthy prior to leaving.

What will my puppy come with?

We will send a small bag of food, a blanket, and a toy. They will also come with their vaccine/deworming record, their microchip # (your puppy will already be microchipped prior to leaving), their AKC registration paper, a copy of our contract and more info.

Will my puppy come with food?

Your puppy will come with a small bag of food. If you are unable to find the food that they are eating, you can transition them to a new food using the food given. Always use a small breed puppy food until the puppy is closer to 1 year of age.

Research new foods and keep up with recalled foods at dogfoodadvisor.com.

Slowly mix the new food into the current food over a period of 1-2 weeks to prevent an upset tummy. The slower the transition the easier on their tummy.

Basic guide to switching food:

Day 1 mix a maximum of 25% new food to 75% old food

Day 4 mix a maximum of 50% new food to 50% old food

Day 7 mix a maximum of 75% new food to 25% old food

Day 10 100% new food

Will my puppy have had any vaccines or dewormings?
Your puppy will have had at least their first vaccination. Your puppy should not be taken to public areas or exposed to other dogs until they have been fully vaccinated for 2 weeks. Puppies are very susceptible to diseases that can be deadly.

Your puppy has been de-wormed against intestinal parasites. This does not guarantee they will not have intestinal or external parasites as transitioning to a new home can be stressful and possible to cause a bloom of intestinal parasites. Parasites are very common and many puppies will have some type of parasite at some point. This is not a big concern as long as the parasites are treated for properly. It is important to stick with a de-worming regimen to keep your puppy safe.

Will my puppy be crate trained?

Your puppy will have began sleeping alone in their crate or playpen during nighttime only. This gets the puppy used to sleeping away from their siblings during the night. This helps make the transition to their new home without their siblings a little easier and helps them learn to sleep through the night. While some puppies do great during the night in a crate, some puppies may have a harder time holding their potty all night. A playpen with a potty area may help prevent a mess in the crate. A playpen setup is also a great space for your puppy to safely stay during the day when they are unable to be supervised.

Will my puppy have began potty training?

Most pups can be fully housed trained by 6 months of age, this can vary greatly depending on the training received during this time. Your puppy will have already began puppy pad training. Using either a fake grass potty mat or puppy pad. Some will get the idea of the puppy pad in just a few weeks while others take a bit longer. Puppies learn best when praising/rewarding them for good behavior.

Do I have to register my puppy with AKC ?

No, you are not required to register your puppy with AKC. Your puppy will come with a paper AKC form to register your puppy if you wish to do so. We do recommend using AKC Reunite to register their microchip. If you do register your puppy with AKC, you can register their microchip at the same time.

How do I register my puppies microchip?

Your puppy has a microchip near the back of their neck. If you choose to register your puppy with AKC, you can also register their microchip at that time. If you do not wish to register your puppy with AKC you will need to register their microchip at  AKC reunite.

In many cases owners change their info and forget to update their pets microchip info. Consider adding an alternate contact in the event the owner is unable to be contacted. AKC Reunite offers a small one time payment for a lifetime enrollment, no subscription.

Does my puppy have to be microchipped?

The microchip your puppy has will not be registered. You will be responsible for registering the microchip with your information. If you choose to not have your puppy microchipped, the puppy will be sold without papers or written guarantee. A microchip is the only way we can identify if a puppy came from us.

Do you offer full AKC registration?

We consider full AKC registration for individuals looking to show or add to their breeding program. There is an additional fee for full AKC registration. Full AKC registration prices range from $2500.00 - $4500.00. Full AKC registration must be discussed prior to deposit.
